Bre & Jake's Couple Session at the Eight Dollar Mountain Botanical Wayside
Bre & Jake are just the sweetest couple and I’m so happy that I was able to meet with them and take some time to capture their love. They love each other but above that they love Christ first and it’s really refreshing to see such a selfless and Christ-centered relationship. Our first location was more of an unknown river spot on the Applegate. It is very pretty, but there was some homeless people living down under the bridge so we were a little cautious and they also had a dog. We also came upon a huge dead salmon on the edge of the river laying in the rocks that smelled SOOO bad. Romantic am I right?? All this to say that behind the scenes photo sessions are sometime not all that glamorous, but a good photographer will have you walking away knowing that you’re going to receive some great photos despite the circumstances.
We started running out of sunlight after the first location. Honestly it happens sometimes, and there’s a lot of possible reasons for it, but we made the most of it and went to a back up / last minute location that turned out to be absolutely amazing!! We were originally going to head to Rough and Ready Creek near Cave Junction but instead went to Eight Dollar Mountain Botanical Wayside near Selma. There is such unique plant life there and it kind of gave me high dessert vibes! We ended the day with some blue hour shots and basked in the moon rise. You can’t go wrong with some lovin’ under soft pink and purple skies.
This was where we transitioned from our hidden river spot to the unique landscape and plant life of Eight Dollar Mountain Botanical Wayside. Also there pants matched on accident! How fun is that?!
